Calling young writers!

Hampshire Libraries and award-winning YA author Ali Sparkes are teaming up to offer free online tips and challenges for aspiring young authors in a series of daily tips and challenges videos.

From Monday 4 May to Friday 8 May, Ali will be hosting a series of short 'how to' videos and creative writing exercises for 9-14 year-olds, every day at 10.30am, with her live feedback on writers' submissions at 3.30pm. All videos, entitled Scribe Tribe Snacks, will be available on YouTube after they go out live next week.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Join renowned children's author Ali Sparkes, winner of two Blue Peter Book Awards: "Book I Couldn't Put Down" and "Book Of The Year" for her book Frozen in Time. ABOUT SCRIBE TRIBE SNACKS:

A series of five short Ali Sparkes videos to set a daily challenge for young writers aged 9 to 14 years old. At 10.30am each day the challenges will be screened on the Hampshire Libraries Facebook page. Scribe Tribers will have until midday to write and send their responses by Facebook message. Drawings will be very much encouraged to accompany the writing! From 3.30-4pm each day, Ali will be live on the Libraries Facebook page to post a series of responses, examples of writing and pictures from the day
