Keep in touch!
Hi all :-)
We hope you are well and that you have enjoyed the bank holiday weekend. Did you do anything to celebrate VE day? If you did, let us know what you have been up to! We love to see your pictures :-)
There are lots of tasks to keep you busy this week. Don't forget, there are help videos too if you are getting stuck. We have seen some lovely work based around our topic 'Tudor Monarchs' - if you have some work to show us or some pictures to share, it would be great to see them - email them over!
This week should have been SATs week. We know you have worked so hard this year and have made loads of progress. Remember, a test doesn't always show what you can really do so keep working hard at home so you can show your secondary teachers in September how FAB you are!
Have a great week!
How are you?
Hi everyone :-)
We are missing you loads!
Your parents will have received an email this week with lots of information from Mr Dawson. Make sure they have read it!
Over the next week, we will be making some phone calls home to speak to your parents about how you have been getting on since we have been in 'lockdown'. We would also like to speak to you too if possible.
You can also now email us as we have class emails set up. These will go to your class teacher and we will respond to you as quickly as we can (but definitely within 24 hours). You can email us to tell us what you have been doing, to ask questions or to share work. We would love to hear from you!
The email addresses are:
And yes that is a zero before the 10 for class 10. Not sure why but it is definitely there!
Take care and we look forward to hearing from you soon :-)
Welcome back to the new school term - Summer already!
We hope you have had a lovely Easter and have enjoyed some of the beautiful sunshine we have had - long may it continue! It certainly makes 'lockdown' just a little easier, doesn't it?!
Our new topic for the term is 'Tudor Monarchs' so quite a few of the activities we will be setting you link to this. Each week, we will be setting you new tasks so keep checking back to see what you need to do.
There will be the usual English and maths tasks plus science and two other non-core (afternoon) tasks. There should be plenty to keep you busy. The tasks are designed for you to do with very little adult support so this is an opportunity for you to show how you can work more independently now we are entering the final term of Year 6.
Enjoy and don't forget to let us know what you have been up to! We do love to see your work You can email us via the school office.
Look out this week for some Easter activities that we will be uploading to keep you busy. Remember, we are not uploading any new work for you during the holidays so there will be some fun/Easter related things for you to do instead.
There will be an Easter Egg Challenge for you on Tuesday so watch this space! You will need your parents to set it up for you like an Easter Egg hunt :-)
As a staff, we have been putting together some little video messages to let you know that we have been thinking of you and also to tell you about a few things we have been up to ourselves. You can find our videos in the 'Messages from staff' tab on the children's page. They are slowly being uploaded so look out for our ones!
We have all been busy keeping up with Joe Wicks and his YouTube morning exercise routines! If you haven't tried it yet, have a go! It's a great start to the day :-)
Hope you are all well and keeping yourselves busy - there's plenty to have a go at on the website and lots of creative ideas too. You could always develop a skill or try something new!
Just to let you know, we won't be uploading any new work as such on to the website for the holidays. Don't forget that you have your test pack to complete - it's important to make sure you keep those skills going! We will also put up some links to other things you could do to keep yourself busy and entertained so keep checking the website for updates.
Keep safe everyone
Want something to do?
Why not draw a rainbow and stick it in your front window? (ask your parents first before you do any sticking though )
Children can go on a walk round the estate (there's not a lot of other places to go!) and spot the rainbows!
You could also add a teddy too so they can go 'on a bear hunt'.
Just something you can do to make a younger child smile
Here's our one...(excuse the very dirty window!! but you get the idea).
Hope you are all well :-)
We are uploading next week's tasks over the weekend so there should be plenty of suggestions of things to keep you busy next week. There should be lots you can get on with so that your parents can get on with their own work - remember it is a tricky time for families so you can show them how independent and responsible you have become.
Make sure you get plenty of fresh air and enjoy some time relaxing and although it is all a bit strange staying at home, we want you to know that we are all thinking of you :-)
Keep safe everyone!
