Walktober / Walk to school week
As a school we have once again registered to take part once again in Walktober which is an initiative run annually by the Travel Planning Teams at Hampshire County Council. The pandemic, and subsequent lockdown, has taught us all that exercising and spending time outside enjoying our surroundings is great, if not essential, for our wellbeing. That is what this year’s Walktober challenge is all about: walking to improve your wellbeing. We hope to encourage as many people as possible to walk, scoot or cycle into school. Walk to School Week this year is being held from 5th - 9th October to coincide with Walktober and as part of this week we will be encouraging all families to make an extra effort to get to school either by foot, by bike or by scooter. There will be various ways in which we will celebrate those children and their efforts during the week so please get involved!
