Other Subjects

This week, there are history and art activities as usual.

We have continued to add the next two transition sessions to help you with your move to secondary school.

These are the same sessions we are running in school so you don't need to worry about missing out on anything!  If you do have any questions about transition that you can't find the answers to at home, feel free to email them to us and we will see how we can help.

If you are going to BHCS, there are some transition videos for you to watch on their YouTube channel.  Follow the link below.

Please be aware that the links within transition materials are appropriate for Y6 but we cannot control other content and links within the sites.

Transition

This week, we will be continuing to work with you on your transition to secondary school.  If you are working at home, we will provide the same resources for you to work through as the children at school.  Make sure you read the information for each lesson very carefully.  If you do have any questions, it is a really good idea to ask someone as this will help you feel more confident about your move.  You can email any questions you have to Mrs Thomas if you can't find out the answers anywhere else!  The email address is class11@hwjs.hants.sch.uk

The most important things you need to do are:

- to keep up with your school work so you are ready for Year 7

- to ask questions if you are worried about anything.

History

This week, we are continuing with our topic, 'The Industrial Revolution'.

Follow the session 4 PDF below - it will talk you through the different activities.  This week the focus is on inventions that changed the lives of people during the Industrial Revolution.  There is an inventions information sheet to help you with the task and also an extra information sheet if you want to know more.

Art & DT

Linking to our new topic, 'The Industrial Revolution', we are continuing with our work we started last week on Victorian toys.  Please see the pdf below for more information about the tasks.  If you had a go at one of the tasks last week, try something different this week!
