Spring 2 Week 3

Your teacher has given you a short reading comprehension and grammar task to complete.  If you need a new copy, please speak to your teacher.


You are still expected to be reading for at least 10 minutes each day.  This will help you to improve your fluency and your stamina (reading accurately for a longer period of time).

Reading is a great way to relax.  Use your reading time to improve your wellbeing!

It is expected that children read frequently (at least ten minutes a day) as part of their Year 6 Reading Challenge.  We are trying to encourage the children to choose from a range of genres, including non-fiction, and more challenging texts.  In class, we are working on increasing reading stamina by reading independently for a longer period of time each day.  We are also encouraging children to report back on books they have read to promote different authors.
