SATS results (Key Stage 2 Results)

The children in year six complete tests in Reading, Maths and Spelling and Grammar in May each year and these tests are then sent away for external marking. The children are also teacher assessed in writing throughout their time in year six but unlike in the other core areas of the curriculum they do not take a writing test. These results are then shared with parents in the end of year reports.

Below is a table showing the school SATs (Standard Attainment Tests) results along with their writing teacher assessments from 2016, 2017 and 2018. In order to give parents a context we have included the data from Hampshire as a whole as well as the national outcomes so you can see how the school has performed in comparison to others.

The term 'ARE' means Age Related Expectations and indicates that a child in achieving outcomes that would be expected for children at the end of year six. If children are achieving 'high' by te end of the year this indicates that they are exceeding expectations for the end of year six.

We continue to be very proud of the outcomes that the children have produced over the last three years but continue to be determined to do all that we can to build upon these results and explore ways in which we can do better still.

Progress scores

The table below details a summary of the progress that year 6 children made over their time in school in reading, writing and maths over the last two years. Progress scores are worked out by looking at where a child has come into the school and where they have left in school in terms of attainment outcomes.

We are very proud of the children for all of the effort that they have put in to their work in  school and the good outcomes were well deserved. We continue to look at ways in which we can further improve outcomes for all children.
