SATS results

The children in year six complete tests in Reading, Maths and Spelling and Grammar in May each year and these tests are then sent away for external marking. The children are also teacher assessed in writing throughout their time in year six but unlike in the other core areas of the curriculum they do not take a writing test. These results are then shared with parents in the end of year reports.

Below is a table showing the school SATs (Standard Attainment Tests) results along with their writing teacher assessments  from 2016 and 2017. We continue to be massively proud of the achievements that the children have made here in school as we continue to out -performed Hampshire County results in almost all areas as the table indicates.

We are determined to do everything that we can to further build upon these excellent results next year and continue to explore ways in which we can do better still.

Progress scores

The table below details a summary of the progress that children made over their time in school in reading, writing and maths. The children in last year's year six made progress roughly in line with other results in Hampshire for writing while progress in maths and reading was above the average progress made across county as a whole. We are very proud of the children for all of the effort that they have put in to their work I school and the good outcomes were well deserved. We continue to look at ways in which we can further improve outcomes for all children.
