Snow openings
Mon 19 Mar 2018We are open and children are able to come into the school as normal.
We appreciate that some parents are having real difficulty getting into school at the moment. If you are unable to get the children into school safely we have made the decision to authorise any absence today.
Nonetheless we have cleared the paths into the school and hope that children will be able to make it in for lessons.
Both the front gate and the gate into the main playground are accessible - the children should make their way straight to their classrooms on arrival.

School opening
Sun 18 Mar 2018We are monitoring the current weather conditions and will make a decision about opening the school as early as we can tomorrow morning.
With the heavy layer of snow currently on the school site and the ongoing snow that is falling and predicted to fall we do have concerns about our ability to open in the morning. However any decision that we make will be based upon our ability to get both staff and children to and from school safely and will be made in collaboration with the infant school.

On going school closure
Thu 01 Mar 2018With the weather continuing to cause issues we will remain closed on Friday 2nd March 2018. This is once again to ensure the health and safety of both the children and staff, particularly those who have to travel from further afield. The decision has been taken in collaboration with Hatch Warren Infant school who will also be closed tomorrow.
World book day celebrations will be rescheduled to Tuesday 6th March . Please can your child wear their costumes on this day instead.
Apologies for the continuing disruption. Please take care in the snow and we look forward to hearing all about what the children have been up to in the snow!

School closure
Thu 01 Mar 2018Due to the bad weather we have had to close the school this morning. We have attempted to email out to all parents this morning but apologies if you have not yet received the message.
The decision to close was made in conjunction with the infant school and is based upon the need to ensure the safety of both the children and the staff at the school. We will make a decision about tomorrow by 7pm this evening and post that information on the school website and once again attempt to contact parents via email to confirm arrangements.
We will re-arrange our world book day celebrations and plan to have our dressing up day on the first day that the school re-opens.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused to parents by the decision to close the school. Please check back to this page during the day for further updates as they become available. Mr Dawson
