We have published the poems that we planned following our trip to Winchester Cathedral. These will appear on display around school soon; please watch out for them. We have also written stories related to our current class text, 'The Green Ship.'

In year 4 this week.....
Fri 06 Mar 2020It has been a really exciting week in year 4! On Tuesday, we went to Winchester and visited the cathedral. This really helped us with our history topic on Anglo-Saxons. During the day, we had a tour of the cathedral, participated in a workshop where we made Saxon broaches and completed illuminated letters. We also visited the Winchester City Museum. Whilst there, we handled a real Saxon pot, dressed up as Saxons and sketched real Saxon coins.
Finally, we celebrated World Book Day by discussing and describing our favourite books, designing book posters and investigating activities on the World Book Day website.
