School Uniform Policy

Our school uniform is stocked by Skoolkit, Basingstoke

We believe that school uniform looks smart and helps to promote a strong sense of value, belonging and identity. All pupils are expected to wear school uniform, and parents are strongly encouraged to support us in this.

Variations for ethnic or cultural reasons will be accommodated and should be discussed with the Headteacher.


Naming Uniform

All items of uniform must be clearly named.


School Uniform

Tops

  • School jumper or school cardigan with the school logo (available from Skoolkit)
    OR

  • Plain red jumper or red cardigan

  • White polo shirt or white cotton blouse/shirt

Bottoms

  • Black or dark grey trousers

  • Black or dark grey tailored shorts

  • Black or dark grey skirt

  • Black leggings

  • Plain black tracksuit bottoms

Tracksuit bottoms must not have sporting logos, stripes or patterns.

Summer Wear

  • Red gingham summer dresses may be worn in warmer weather


Footwear

  • Black, plain, flat shoes

    • A plain black trainer-style shoe is acceptable

    • No logos

  • Sensible black ankle boots may be worn in adverse weather conditions


PE Uniform

  • Black shorts

  • Plain white or red T-shirt

    • A logo PE T-shirt is available from Skoolkit (optional)

Cold Weather PE

  • Plain black tracksuit bottoms or leggings

  • Plain black tracksuit top or hoodie

  • School jumper, cardigan or fleece may also be worn

No logos, stripes, patterns or pictures on any PE clothing (except school logo items).

Footwear for PE

  • Trainers are required (do not need to be black)

  • Children may change into trainers at break or lunchtime if they wish

  • Coloured trainers must not be worn as part of normal school uniform (PE only)


Hair and Appearance

Hairstyles

  • Long hair must not obstruct vision or pose a health and safety risk

  • Long hair must be tied up during practical lessons, e.g. PE

  • The school reserves the right to judge whether hairstyles or hair colours are appropriate for the school environment

  • Decisions will be made fairly, without discrimination, and in line with the Equality Act 2010

  • Parents may raise concerns through the school’s Complaints Procedures Policy


Jewellery

  • Small stud earrings are permitted

    • Earrings must be removed or taped for PE

  • Analogue or digital watches may be worn

  • Fitbit-style step counters are acceptable

  • Smart watches are not allowed, including those that can take photos or receive messages

  • No other jewellery is permitted, except for religious items (in line with equality legislation)


Make-Up and Nails

  • Make-up is not permitted

  • False eyelashes are not allowed

  • Nail varnish and false nails are not permitted


Personal Property

The school accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to items worn or brought into school.


IMPORTANT

ALL CLOTHING MUST BE CLEARLY NAMED


Pre-Loved Uniform – FREE

We are very fortunate to receive donations of high-quality, pre-loved uniform from our families. Most items are in excellent condition, many with the school logo, and are completely free.

Requesting Uniform

If your child requires uniform, please complete the form at the end of this page listing the items you need. Uniform will be sent home confidentially.

Donating Uniform

If your child has outgrown their uniform and it is in good condition (preferably with a school logo), we would be very grateful for donations.

  • Please bring donations to the school reception

  • All items must be washed before donation
