Year 2 – September 2026 Intake

Congratulations on being offered a place at Hatch Warren Junior School in September 2026. An envelope containing a letter and blank Consent Booklet has been passed to the Infant School (or posted) for your child. Please complete this Consent Booklet as soon as possible and return it to the Junior school office no later than Monday 18th May 2026. 

Dates for your diary:

  • Monday 18th May 2026 – Deadline to return Consent Booklets
  • Monday 29th June 2026, 6pm - Parents Information Evening – school hall – meet the Year 3 teachers and see the classrooms 
  • Friday 10th July & Monday 13th July 2026 - Infant School "Move-Up" Mornings (if your child is coming from a different school we will contact you)

School Uniform

We believe that school uniform looks smart and helps to promote a strong sense of value, belonging and identity. All pupils are expected to wear school uniform, and parents are strongly encouraged to support us in this.

Variations for ethnic or cultural reasons will be accommodated and should be discussed with the Headteacher.


Naming Uniform

All items of uniform must be clearly named.


School Uniform

Tops

  • School jumper or school cardigan with the school logo (available from Skoolkit)
    OR

  • Plain red jumper or red cardigan

  • White polo shirt or white cotton blouse/shirt

Bottoms

  • Black or dark grey trousers

  • Black or dark grey tailored shorts

  • Black or dark grey skirt

  • Black leggings

  • Plain black tracksuit bottoms

Tracksuit bottoms must not have sporting logos, stripes or patterns.

Summer Wear

  • Red gingham summer dresses may be worn in warmer weather


Footwear

  • Black, plain, flat shoes

    • A plain black trainer-style shoe is acceptable

    • No logos

  • Sensible black ankle boots may be worn in adverse weather conditions


PE Uniform

  • Black shorts

  • Plain white or red T-shirt

    • A logo PE T-shirt is available from Skoolkit (optional)

Cold Weather PE

  • Plain black tracksuit bottoms or leggings

  • Plain black tracksuit top or hoodie

  • School jumper, cardigan or fleece may also be worn

 

School Dinners

Children order their school dinner in class each day. School dinners are optional and children may choose to have a packed lunch or a hot meal on different days.

  • Cost per meal: £2.75

  • Payments are made via ARBOR


After School Clubs

After school clubs run Monday to Thursday and typically last for 10 weeks each term.

  • Time: 3:30–4:30pm

  • Booking and payment via ARBOR

  • Places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis

  • Clubs carry a small charge

Parents will receive an email to advise you when clubs go live, including the date and time bookings open.
