SATS results (Key Stage 2 Results from 2023 end of key stage data
The children in year six complete tests in Reading, Maths and Spelling and Grammar in May each year and these tests are then sent away for external marking. The children are also teacher assessed in writing throughout their time in year six but unlike in the other core areas of the curriculum they do not take a writing test. These results are then shared with parents in the end of year reports.
Below is a table showing the school SATs (Standard Attainment Tests) results.
The term 'ARE' means Age Related Expectations and indicates that a child in achieving outcomes that would be expected for children at the end of year six. If children are achieving 'high' by the end of the year this indicates that they are exceeding expectations for the end of year six.
Progress scores
The table also includes a summary of the progress that year 6 children made over their time in school in reading, writing and maths over the last three years. Progress scores are worked out by looking at where a child has come into the school and where they have left in school in terms of attainment outcomes.
