Week Commencing 26th February 2024
THE WEEK OF CLASS 33
DAY 1
The first day, we made the tallest tower we could using a single sheet of A4 paper (Lewis and Noah made the tallest tower). This followed on to making bridges using the same technique. This was challenging as we were not allowed to use glue, masking tape or any other resources. The bridge had to hold at least 8 cubes. Later that day, we spent 2 hours in PE which was a load of FUN!
DAY 2
Tuesday was an exciting day as looked at: Kenning and Colour poems; Fibonacci sequences and built marble runs using cardboard, string, straw, tape and PVA glue. Mr Finkclaire also took us out for Magic Spots- observing nature for 5 minutes and the surroundings in silence.
DAY 3
Class 33 made some light houses using electrical circuits to turn the light on. We were able to get resources from outside, like stones, to add to our scenery. More PE! This time we played capture the flag. This was a test of teamwork and communication.
DAY 4
We added the circuits to our lighthouses this was interesting as we were given the challenge to add a switch to make the light work. Sketching was next. Although many of us were not great at drawing we had fun, laughed and got in the moment. That afternoon, we researched famous people, hobbies or something of interest to develop a PowerPoint or poster.
DAY 5- Our last day ☹
The last day was time to reflect, finish our projects and present our research. As well as this we made our time capsule and finished with a story from Mrs Griffiths.
I can honestly say that Class 33 had a blast of a time with the challenges, fun and teamwork. Some of us even surprised ourself of what were capable of!
